About
Looking into Colette Richarme work is a journey in a world of colours and movement. This may seems at first an abstract experience but in fact it is powerfully tangible. Our look dive into this universe being at the same time tossed around and enchanted.
She knows the main artistic trends of her time but chooses to follow her own path. This path she is experimenting seems spontaneous but her journal give us a different insight, the one of a thorough and well thought work.
If Richarme claim one freedom, it is the one of being a woman and a painter.
Many ways to explore Richarme’s work is available to you.

Few years after Richarme passed away, a friends network gathered around Colette Richarme’s daughters to collectively support and give life to the work of Richarme. From that group emerged few years later our non profit organisation dedicated to Richarme, the woman painter who wrote in 1947:
“Painting is the shout of light, the call of my night”
